This time, we go to their place to see how his parents and grandfather help You-Wei build up listening and speaking abilities through daily life interactions.
Hou-Ting’s Two Dreams
For Hou-Ting, a special education major with profound hearing loss in both ears, speaking from a podium is an enjoyment rather than a challenge. He has accumulated much experience by leading classroom activities when interning at a special school for the blind. He is also a very active member in his school table tennis team. For Hou-Ting, hearing loss is merely an extra turn on the road to his dreams.
